Profile

Sue Hardy   Counsellor, Art Psychotherapist and Group Facilitator

Sue Hardy, Counsellor, Art Psychotherapist and Group Facilitator I favour using an integrated approach to counselling, which has been developed over many years from a broad range of clinical experience, both in private practice and within the public mental health system.

In a compassionate, empathic and confidential manner, I use a combination of cognitive, affective, and behavioural techniques, working with each client in a way that is best suited to their individual needs.

While psychological insight is important, for many clients, using a number of alternative methods in addition to counselling is often the most effective.
These approaches serve to enhance the process by encouraging a deeper connection to emotions, leading to greater acceptance, awareness and an increased possibility for permanent change.

I am passionate about my work and believe that every crisis provides us with an opportunity for growth and development. While therapy is often a challenging process, it is with awareness and change that you will be able to live in a more conscious, peaceful and fulfilling way.
